Meet George
George loves dinner with the boys.
It’s his favourite time of day when everyone gathers around the table, shares stories and laughs about the day gone by.
For George and his mates, dinner isn’t just a meal. It’s a moment of connection and a chance to build confidence and practise independence.
Helena’s House isn’t built yet, but through our Helena’s House Furniture Fund, we’re getting ready to make it a true home - starting with the dining table where moments like these can happen every day.
This Christmas, turn a house into a home for young people with disability.
At BestLife, we help young people with disability build independence, confidence and real friendships. The kind that turn ordinary moments into something truly special.
Now, we’re preparing to bring that same magic to Helena’s House, a new home where our Besties can cook together, share dinner around the table, laugh late into the night and learn the skills to live their best life.
To make that possible, we need your help to fill Helena’s House with the essentials like beds to rest in, couches to relax on, a dining table to gather around, and the tools and technology that make independence possible.
Your donation to Helena's House Furniture Fund will help create more than just a house, you’ll help build a warm, welcoming home where young people with disability find friendship, joy and independence.

HOW IT HELPS
Your donation helps create warmth, comfort and belonging at Helena’s House.
OUR IMPACT
Young people with disability can find friendship, joy and independence in a home away from home.
Fiona, Eric & Sophia McIlwain - "Helena had a way of making every young person with disability feel safe, important and included. She often talked about how much it would mean for them to have a place that felt like a real home; not just bricks and mortar, but rooms filled with furniture and everyday items that bring warmth, comfort and love. That is why Helena’s House carries her name. We know she would be overjoyed to see it become a home where the Besties she cared for can laugh, belong and grow with confidence."
